After creating huge changes for other people on the show, it’s amazing to be on the receiving end of a makeover! I really love my new look, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it was a shock at first. I’ve had long dark hair for as long as I can remember, so when I first saw myself, I thought, “Who is this?!” Not only did my hair go from resting halfway down my back to hanging under my ears, but the color was lighter than I ever could have imagined. The makeover team also lightened my eyebrows and gave me face contouring makeup so it’s a totally different look. I’ve never tried anything this dramatic before - ever! Even my friends told me not to do it, but I was ready to make a drastic change.

My styling routine is a bit different now. I have to really smooth out my hair as I blow it dry, but it’s faster than blow-drying my long hair, so it has cut my prep time in half. (And as a new mom, I need those extra minutes!) I’m still getting used to the length – every night when I put my head down on my pillow I wonder where all my hair is! But I love it and so do my friends and my fiancé, Ricky. Actually, he thinks it could be even shorter – I’m not ready for that quite yet, but we’ll see …
