This might be a familiar problem: you make a delicious family-style meal with lots of leftovers, but no one wants to eat them the next day!
Our viewer Suzanne knows all about this. “I’ve been hosting Thanksgiving dinner for 30 years,” she says. But, poor Suzanne -- after all that hard work, her family won’t eat her leftovers! “They don’t like the taste of the food the next day,” she explains.
So we brought in some of the most ingenious chefs we know to take Suzanne’s signature dishes and make them into completely new meals!
“The Kitchen” host Sunny Anderson’s invention is truly unique -- she took Suzanne’s leftovers and made two completely different potato pancake recipes! Get her recipe for Potato Pancakes here.
First, she made a potato pancake with mashed potatoes, then topped it with shredded turkey, maple syrup, a fried egg and lots of gravy! Yum! (Note -- these are methods, not recipes, so we encourage you to experiment in re-creating!)
Next, she made another potato pancake with leftover sweet potatoes and topped it with shredded turkey a sauce made from pumpkin soup blended with cream cheese and strawberry preserves.
