Chicken in a Love Nest

Thank you Rachael. This was a great recipe! I used broccoli instead of asparagus because I had it on hand. After cutting it in similar lengths to asparagus, I blanched it, iced it, drained it, buttered it and toasted the slivered almonds - it tasted great! I made my own pastry and it wrapped beautifully around the chicken, cheese and mushroom mixture. Dinner was a HIT!! It took a little extra time, but so it should for my special valentine of 25 years (We've been married 25 years, but have been together for 29 Valentines). I feel like we went to the best restaurant ever and we didn't have to leave the comfort of our own home (which we've always said was better than any hotel room we've ever stayed at any way).
Thanks again and keep those great recipes coming. I so look forward to your show every day and "What's for Dinner Tonight?"
Best regards,
Janet Twigg.

Hi Rachael,
I made this recipe on Valentine's Day, and it was a hit with my family- only instead of chicken, I used thinly sliced beef and I made my own dough. My husband absolutely loved it. My kids (4,3 & 1) loved it also. Thanks for this delightful Valentine's dinner!

Oh Rach,
I forgot to mention, my husband thought some marinara sauce would be nice over the top of the dough and maybe served with some red wine (he was wanting something tangy to go with it).
