I have owned and operated my Nail Salon for 15 yrs. We are a full service nail salon in a small village in Dutchess County (NY)
I take pride in the cleanliness at our salon, paying particular attention to the PEDICURE area. I do have a jacuzzi tub for pedi's. i keep it so clean after EVERY use - that I would feel free to put my feet in it. There are so many "CLEAN LOOKING" salons at the mall,etc. but are really unsafe re:cleanliness and sanitation. They are not required - as stated by NYS laws to post their licenses or have the proper sanitation in their salons. As many times as they have been reported and I see the results of their manicures, pedicures and artificial nail applications ...nothing seems to be done to shut them down... I don't understand it. I sure hope this makes some of you think long and hard before you opt for a "QUICK" nail service.

I saw the show and I was horrified by it all. I have never been fortunate enough to have a manicure or a pedicure but that just made up my mind real quick when I saw that show. I know there are places that r not like that but I am not taking a chance

I have had a manicure twice and a pedicure about half a dozen times and never thought about asking questions. When I saw the show, I was horrified to see what goes on in some salons. From now on, I will ask questions and look to see that everything in the salon is done correctly.
