Hair and eyelash loss...

goodgravy73
Due to a chemical imbalance, I've been completely without eyelashes though out my younger years 3 different times, resulting in very thin eyelashes...afraid to use mascara which could make what little I have left, drop out. Got to the point 3 years ago to have eyeliner tattooed just to make it look like I at least have eyes.

Now I'm experiencing severe top of the head hair loss...your program today got interfered with due to a news/political break so I've check on your website. Didn't get to look at the product for eyelashes yet but the hair product sounds get...BUT IT COSTS MORE THAN 1/4 OUR MONTHLY INCOME!!! There has to be millions out there in the same situation...just hoping you'll add these products to the "giveaway" section. I realize my chances of winning are low, but even if another woman in similar circumstances might be able to do something to help her self-esteem.

When I was 19, I went to cosmetology school and got my first perm in my life. My hair was down to my waste and things went terribly wrong. I had an allergic reaction and my hair came out in handfuls. Other than having to be a beauty school dropout, my hair was a wreck! My mother is into natural herbs. She researched and found out that Horsetail is a natural herb that helps your hair, skin, and nails. Alta Silica is the active ingredient in Horsetail. I went to the local herb store and asked for Alta Silica. I bought it (I think it was less than $30) and took 3 pills per day. My hair grew 4 inches in one month and my nails and hair never looked better!

A few years later, I was working with a woman with very thin hair. She'd tried everything. I told her about Alta Silica. She took 3 pills per day and in no time, her hair was thick where you couldn't see her scalp through her hair on the top of her head.

Now, years later, my husband's hair is thinning. I purchased Alta Silica and it's working on him, too!

Word of caution, you will have to shave or wax hair in other areas more often and I did notice my eyebrows needed tweezing more often but it was worth it! Don't know if it will work on eye lashes, but can't see why not.

If you are talking about the Alta Silica, yes. It works on any human, male or female. It's a natural herb.

If you are talking about the Alta Silica, yes. It works on any human, male or female. It's a powder of the active ingredient of Horsetail, a natural herb. It comes in a capsule and I've purchased it at the local Sun Harvest store but I'm sure it can be bought at any store where you get health suppliments.

Estee Lauder Lash Primer Plus is GREAT for thin, fine eyelashes. Mine are twice as healthy and long as they used to be. Apply as your basecoat every time you apply mascara.
THIS WORKS!

I have thinning hair too and also very fine. I have Fibromyalgia and other medical problems. I have been checking on anything that would make my hair thicker and more of it. I was reading your post about Alta Silica. I have not heard of it, where can I buy it online or anywhere near San Antonio?

My eyebrows are very thin too and I tried Talika but it didn't work one bit. I also tried the lash stuff which also didn't work.

There are also other reasons that people can have hair loss. Here is one of them:

Trichotillomania (TTM), or "trich" as it is commonly known, is an impulse control disorder characterized by the repeated urge to pull out scalp hair, eyelashes, facial hair, nose hair, pubic hair, eyebrows or other body hair, resulting in noticeable bald patches. It may seem, at times, to resemble a habit, an addiction, a tic disorder or an obsessive-compulsive disorder. Due to social implications the disorder is often unreported and it is difficult to accurately predict prevalence of trichotillomania; 2.5 million in the U.S. may have TTM. Many clinicians classify TTM as a habit behavior, in the same family as nail biting (onychophagia) or compulsive skin picking (dermatillomania).

Anxiety, depression are more frequently encountered in people with TTM. People with TTM may also eat/chew the roots of the hair that they pull, referred to as trichophagia. In extreme cases this can lead to Rapunzel syndrome, and even death. Some individuals with TTM may feel they are the only person with this problem due to low rates of reportage.

Trichotillomania is a chronic problem; although one can recover from it, there is currently no specific cure. It can be stubborn, but with proper treatment and persistence, picking and/or pulling hairs can be greatly reduced and even brought under control (often called "hibernation").

Habit Reversal Training or HRT, has been shown to be a successful adjunct to pharmacotherapy as a way to treat TTM. Many patients who pull their hair don’t realize that they are doing this; it is a conditioned response. With Habit Reversal Training, doctors train the individual to learn to recognize their impulse to pull and also teach them to redirect this impulse. As a part of the behavioral record-keeping component of HRT, patients are often instructed to keep a journal of their hair-pulling episodes. They may be asked to record the date, time, location, and number of hairs pulled, as well what they are thinking or feeling at the time. This can help the patient learn to identify situations where they commonly pull out their hair and develop strategies for avoiding episodes.

I just wanted to share this. I suffer from this and have pulled my lashes and brows for 30 yrs. Only this past Dec. 07 I found out the name for "IT" and it was a relief. I since have used stress balls to keep my hands busy and away from my face and am proud to say I've been "pull free" for almost 2 months and now have full lashes. They still need to grow in longer.

No product is going to help you if you suffer from this problem. You have to deal with your stress and re-train yourself to do something else with you hands when you do feel stress and anxiety. Best Wishes to any of you that are dealing with this.

If they don't delete it here is a forum board that I found that was the greatest help to me in finding the strength I needed to fight this:

I'm from the Corpus Christi, TX area and get it at the local Sun Harvest. I just entered "Alta Silica" in a Google search and came up with lots of places you can order it online. Make sure you put the quote marks around the words so it searches for that exact phrase. You can read other articles on Alta Silica and Horsetail that come up as a result of the search, as well.

Growing up, my mom had issues with her hair not growing. When I got into Cosmetology school and started learning the products used in the trade, I came acrossed a product the helps you grow your hair back and keep it. It is nothing like rograne. It is called Nioxin. This product helps you grow back what you are currently lossing and, again, it helps you keep it. My mom has used this product for 13 years now and has more hair on her head then I ever remember her having when I was growing up. I even use it when I want my hair to grow faster. You can get Nioxin at quite a few salons and use something that has been proven over time to be successfull.

I tried eyelash implants and a week later after the implants fell out I noticed my original eyelashes fell out with the implants. I searched for an eyelash growth product and found Talika Lipocils Conditioning Gel. This stuff really works. You need to give it 3 weeks and I swear your eyelashes grow long and full. I continue using it and found a great website eyesplendor.com - they sell at a lower price than all the other suppliers.
