Divorce Parties.

These women should be ashamed of themselves. What is this women's children going to think? That there father is that bad that their mother needs a party to celebrate his removal from their household? Are we teaching our children now that divorce is to be taken so lightly? I would be horrified if I was invited to a divorce party. Is there sanctity in anything anymore?

If a woman or man stays in an abusive marriage for the children, not only are he/she doing themselves a disservice but the children as well. Better two happy homes than one miserable home. I am a child of divorce and I have children of divorce. I'm so happy that my mother didn't stay married to my father and I'm glad I didn't stay married to my children's father.

no one should stay together if there not happy,the parties are a great idea.Oh by the way either sex can throw a divorce party.......

I agree with divorce where divorce is needed, but having a party for it is giving a bad example to children.

I think the parties are a great way for a woman to celebrate that next chapter, like they said during the show... sometimes women just need that boost in self esteem and hanging out with their friends to say "I'm moving on" may be just what does it. I'm sure the children will be fine knowing their mommy has moved on.

A divorce party can be tastefully done. I thought the balloon popping idea was a good one. In a sense, it gets rid of the negative aspect of the divorce. I don't think divorces are easy. That would why when you are ready to move on then it should be a celebration. Marriage isn't for everybody. I'm one of those somebodies.
