I had large breasts since I was a teen. After having 2 children and going through hormonal changes in my 40s my breasts grew even more! I'm estimating I was at least a DD. I am petite so DD was huge for me. I decided to look into breast reduction. I was large enough to qualify for insurance coverage. I had the surgery in July '06. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am more comfortable.... no neck aches, bra digging into my skin, etc. I even took up running which was very difficult when the girls were huge. My breasts are perkier than when I was a teen! Clothing fits better. And I no longer look matronly...at least for now!

For the same reasons you had a reduction to feel and look better, and your clothes to fit better. I had breast implants at age 42. I am very tall and very thin, my bra cup was not even an A cup. So now I have a "PROFILE", I feel better about myself, I look better, and now clothes fit me better. I was spending so much money on bras trying to make me look like I had something, I decided to put that money towards something permanent. I don't regret doing it, and in fact would and have recommended it to others.
