Post Weight Loss Adventure

RoseBisme
Today's show on adventures post weight loss really hit home for me. On May 14, 2007, I had gastric by pass surgery. I went into surgery at 351 pounds. I'd been large all my life, and finally health complications demanded that I finally address this issue for good.By the way, hubby Jim had the surgery 2 weeks before I did. We changed our lives together.

They tell you about how your life will change...most people change jobs and end their primary relationships within a year. It's now a year later. Jim and I have left dead end jobs at an employer who will never realize what great assets they have in their employees. We've left Nevada where we were miserable and moved home to California where our hearts really lie. Jim's got a great new job at which he's very happy...I'm still looking. He's about 150 pounds down. I was 130 pounds down, but put back on a few....I'M PREGNANT AT 47 YEARS OLD WITH OUR FIRST CHILD!!! Talk about a real adventure!!! I am bouncing between absolute terror and elation beyond words. Our lives have always been a fairytale...met on line after I'd refused treatment for cancer...I was praying to die...God sent me an angel whose screen name was "AJ". I was healed with no chemo or radiation or surgery. Now our child will be named Aubrey James...known as AJ...and angel from heaven times two!!! No one is more blessed than me!!!

God bless you and your family Rose. I am about to have lap band surgery. I wanted gastric bypass but I am 58 and thought lapband would be safer. I wasn't aware that pregnancy was a side affect Ha Ha! I think you and your husband have been blessed many times.
