An elderly driver killed my children's father

We really need legislation in the country to prevent unsafe elderly drivers. Eleven months ago, an 85 year old woman with a car with 9 miles on it was pushing on the gas pedal instead of the brake, and hit my ex-husband (a pedestrian) at about 60 mph, killing him instantly. Now two families are suffering.
