Regarding "I have felt guilty for over 17 years"

Perhaps this issue was being presented in an improper medium or maybe there just wasn't enough time, however, this is a subject matter that is far from over for these girls. The main point that needed to be made to Disa regarding this wedding, was that it wasn't HER wedding. Who cares if she had a date? Who cares if she was too plump for the dress or if her hair didn't look right or any other issue (other than life or limb) when standing your best friend up on her big day? I wonder if "no date" was the true reason, to be honest. I'd be interested to see how this friendship has stood the test of time in just a year from now.
