The makeover was great. The young girl - sorry, I'm bad with remembering names - looked beautiful and seemed so much more confident. There was only one problem I had with the whole thing: When her new look was finally revealed, she stood on the set by herself. Noone walked over to stand with her to talk about her new look. She looked like she felt awkward standing there by herself while Rachel and Gretta sat at the table. When the segment was finished, still noone walked over to her to congratulate her, not even Rachel walked over to give her the gift card. I felt sorry for the poor girl. Am I alone in this?

I agree with you. It would have been so nice for someone to get up and go give her a hug, and the gift card. I would think it would be difficult for anyone to get a makeover and stand there alone, and Rachael or someone on her staff needs to be sensitive to this.

And what about her friends sitting in the front row? No one could have kept me from running on stage to hug my friend!

Also, it seems as if most viewers are complaining that Crystal was "forced" into the makeover, but I didn't see anyone twisting her arm, or using other measures of force, AND she let Gretta know what she was comfortable in and what she wasn't, AND Crystal herself picked the dress she wore onto the show, & she seemed quite happy that she had a $1000 to spend on new clothing and accessories, Crystal looked great, and is free to adapt what she learned to her own sense of who she is.

This is something I also agree with. I think they should have staged the segment with Rachael and Greta standing so they would be there to greet her and stand on either side of her to encourage her to turn around and show off all sides of her makeover, hug her, personally hand her the gift card. This is the first time I can think of that I felt Rachael was not friendly enough. It sorta weirded me out that they left her just standing there. I have always felt Rachael was friendlier than that. I've seen her stand up to greet others, why not Crystal? I hope that this situation never happens to anyone else.
