Meatloaf

I make my meatloaf in the crockpot - I mix it as if I would place it in the oven. I place a metal trivet in the base of my crockpot and add a little water before placing the meatloaf in the pot. Cook on low. Add carrots and potatoes. You have a meal.

Ok, this is a weird question. You mentioned placing a trivet in the bottom of the crock pot and then placing the meatloaf on top of that.Did you place the meatloaf directly over the trivet??Doesn't the meatloaf kind of ooze through the trivet and or doesn't the meatloaf kind of bake around it??? Oh gee, just wondering. Funny as we are actually having meatloaf this evening for dinner, the conventional way. I do think crock pots are great and they come in so handy.

I place the meatloaf directly on the trivet. No oozing has happened.
