We certainly do appreciate good teachers and it is a tough job however shouldn't we be encouraging independence in the teenage kids ie: working for their own money. I wonder whatever happened to kids babysitting and cutting lawns to buy their own school supplies. Call me old fashioned but I think we need to encourage kids to be more independent.
