touched a financial nerve

This segment was very cool, but it hit home with me about a really serious issue. In today's economy, when we are scrimping and saving to put food on the table, we are still made to feel that it is absolutely imperative to do these things. I wonder if I'm the only woman in America who has had to decide that razors are an expensive luxury item and put my skirts away for the fall and winter so I don't have to shave my legs as often. And, yes, my husband must shave his face, but he does it every other day instead of every day now. It's true that your personal grooming habits give first impressions, but you would think people could give you a miss in this economic situation if you can't afford $25 for four razor blades, however much waxing costs, or $20 mascara (or insert beauty product here).

I wish society would decide that people are beautiful just the way they are. :) Anyone want a round of Kum-Ba-Ya?
