Furi knife snapping in 1/2

anyone else purchase a Furi knife and have problems? i received one for christmas of 2006 and yesterday, while cutting an onion it snapped in 1/2, with the blade flipping toward me. anyone else have issues?

I love my knives. Never had a problem. Take your's back to the store. These are supposed to last longer than 2 yrs.!! If all else fails, write the Furi company. Surely, they will make good. Then, again, write Rachael - she promotes them. I'm sure she would not like to hear about this. Good luck.

I have a whole set of RR Furi knives for about 3 years now and I LOVE them! I am glad you did not hurt yourself.

I purchased a brand new Furi 5" east/west knife last December from a E-bay seller with a Ozitech sharpener in the set. I noticed the other day there is a 1' crack in the blade, just past the handle grip. I found the Furi website but the page cannot be displayed. Rachael also posted the link but I can't find it.Can anyone help me? Thanks much.

For anyone having trouble with their knives I'm sure Furi will make good obviously some of them have defects, if you can't get them online I bet they have a toll free phone no. I have had Rachael's fure knife for around 5 years now and good as new, but that doesn't mean something can't happen I'm sure it's not often but they should replace the kife free, and if you can't find a phone no. then go back to the store even if there guarantee has run out they can no doubt get in touch with the manufacturer. Even if you got it on ebay I would take it to a store who sells those knives they will at least put you in touch with Furi, I will be anxious to see how you guys make out but don't let it slide and as the other poster said glad you didn't hurt yoursel.
