Decorating a new bedroom

Hi Kristan,
My family says I live in a postage stamp because I never change anything. Well we have finally finshed adding on a master bedroom, bathroom and laundry and I am stuck as to how to decorate. I love reds and my furnihings are a deep dark wood. my walls are light in color. Do you have any pointers as to how I can add a sexy look without looking "cheap". Oh yeah we are on a really tight budget.
