Recently while looking up a recipe I was forwarded to what I thought I was Rachel's site. I found the recipe, and as I looked at the site I saw an advertisement promoted by Rachel regarding the Acai Berry Diet. I had seen her on TV and heard her mention it. I've been trying desperately to shed a few pounds because I'm unemployed and need to lose what I gained to get work, but nothing I've done has been successful.
I try to be very careful when ordering anything online, and go to only trusted sites. I thought the site I went to was being promoted by Rachel Ray and consequently felt comfortable checking it out. The order was for a free trial with S&H only. I read the terms and conditions and still felt comfortable. Consequently I ordered the products.
I am on unemployment so I do try to be very, very careful with any purchases. I haven't been able to find a job and have been frustrated by the fact that I've gained weight being home. I thought about trying Alli, but it seemd too expensive, and I wanted more natural products.
As it is I got ripped off for over $174.00 by FMW Laboratories located in Hollywood/Ft Lauderdale Florida. After making the order for the free trial, I only received half the order, and then before my free trial date was up I noticed two separate charges for $87.13 each. I called to cancel the product because 1. I did not get all of the "free trial" product to even try it, and 2. because I can't afford to spend that kind of money on anything short of necessary.
I'm hoping Rachel sees this note and knows that a lot of people are getting ripped off by the use of her name by FMW Labs. I wish I could get my money back. I need to pay COBRA, my rent, and other bills. I still haven't even tried the product, but despite canceling the account and requesting a refund, I was still charged for the product.
Regards,
PW
