When I was first watching this tears came flowing down. It was such an amazing show. I felt so bad for those brides who lost everyting, but my heart went out to the bride of the deceased mother. Ever since I was a little girl I always dreamed of my father walking me, but my father passed away 9 years ago and now I have my uncles walking me down. But I believe that there are people that would do anything for another person and Rachael Ray I believe that you are one of a million.

Hello Rachael,

I just watched your Brides of Harris County...what a wonderful thing you and your staff did...It made me cry. I felt for these people, and what you did was amazing. The people that made it happen will all be blessed. It made me think of my wedding many many years ago...and it made me realize just how lucky I was to have my family and friends with me during my day.
Since then I have lost my father and felt extremely lucky to have him there to walk with me to my future husband. The story of the bride that lost her mother, just brought me to tears and was so happy to hear the song you played for the dance, my father was very sick the first time we heard the Martina Mcbride song, and what I remember most is that it made my dad cry. I just felt that your show was most welcomed in what seems to be dismal times.

WOW! Rachael Ray, you did it! You made me cry like a baby when I watched the Brides of Harris County and that my dear is tough to do. YOU ROCK!

OMG!!! I cried like a baby during the entire show today. I was raised in Houston & was worried about friends still there when Ike hit but never thought about many others or weddings cancelled. I am a kitchen manager for a school & usually don't get to watch you much (luckily my 14 yr old loves you too and records your show & subscribes to your mag & gets every book) but now I'm recovering from a surgery & haven't missed too many shows except for Dr's appt. I am still in tears of how giving and caring you are. In these times of troubles and heartache for so many it's just does my heart good to know there are still people who do care & do things like this & have such a huge heart. I loved every bit & will be filled with love because of you. It warms my soul & I only love you more. Does your hubby have any single brothers? God Bless you & your crew & all those that helped you pull this off. What am amazing story. Thankx for the repeat of that wonderful show. With all my love & thoughts Michelle Whitmire

Rachel, I do not usually watch tv, as a wife, mother, student and part-time worker who has time. But I need to tell you how much this show effected me. Life here in California is the pits, we are upside down on our home loans, we have variable rate loans which we are so worried about if inflation hits we will lose everything, then The Brides of Harris County comes on. A slap in the face with a cold wet fish. What the heck is really important? I have a wonderful husband and healty kids, what more do I need. Thank you so much for giving me a reality check, through many tears i might add. You and all the venders did a wonderful thing not only for the brides but for us, the viewers, as well.

I just wanted you to know how touched I was while watching the
Brides of Harris County. My father has just been diagnosed with
stage four lung cancer. He was given 3 months without treatment and up to 1 year with treatment. The only thing I ever wanted was for him to walk me down the asile and know I was going to be taken care of when he reaches his next life. I know this will
probably never happen. I have a great boyfriend, but I dont think
getting married is an option with our financial situation that everyone is faced with these days.. Thank you for "Paying It Forward." Those couples will never forget what you did for them.

shelii
Rachel , what you did was a wonderful thing that those couples will never forget , & you made their dreams come true. The bride that last her mother, I cried when they played the song in my daughtes eyes , Thank God she had her brother there to walk her down the alie & to dance with her . You are just an amazing person. I have 2 daughters 21 & 13 I hope & pray to God I'm there to see both my daughters get married & be as happy as I am with their dad. my own wedding wasn't all that great but I married the man I love & I know that's all that really matters I just wish I could have had a real wedding dress & my husband cold have wore a tux, my mom had remarried just a few months before I got married she didn't want to burden her new husband but he's a really great man,so my mom didn't buy me a dress, my husband to be gave me $40.00 dollars & I went to a store where they sale prom dress & that's what I got, I had material added to it to make it long.I got married June 14th 1987 & I'm very happy but which I could have a real dress & husband a tux. maybe someday we could renew our vows & have all that. I ask my mom's new husband if hed give me away when I got married & he said I'd a honored he is a really great man he treats me like his daughter & tells people I'm his daughter & I tell people he's my dad.
your amazing in the things you do.
Shelii

cpknight
Hi Rach,

I just done watching this show with all the birdes. What a tear jerker!!!!! It made me wonder if I will ever find a nice guy that I can get married to. I was married once to the perfect guy (at the time) We got married, I got pregnant, he left for Korea via the Army, then ask me for a divorce, so I've been living alone with my son ever since. I have longed to find a guy that I could live with, get married and have a terrific life. But haven't yet. I am so tired of being alone.

I go to Culinary School for pastry and baking, have a good job as a cake decorator at a grocery store. My son is graduating from high school in June and I will be alone again. I have a very lonely life and can not find a guy worth his weight in gold (figuritively).

Hello Racheal, not very often do I get to see your show. Today I was working from home and took a break. Your show was on and it covering the Brides of Harris County. I am from Houston, and was blessed not to have that much damage from Hurricane IKE. This is the most awesomest, unselfish, act of kindness that anyone could have ever done for these couples. For those that lost everything due to the hurricane, as they were to embark upon a new life with their soon to be mate, this has let them see that whenever one door closes, another one will open. To the young lady that danced to the song giving tribute to her Mom who passed away before she could see her little girl get married. Well that just took the cake. I do not know any of the folks that were married, but I shed tears of joy as I watched the taping.

I was overwhelmed with happiness and knowing how blessing all those brides were to have there dream come too, again Rachel you have gone above an beyond what anyone would expect from such a down to earth, selfless person...this shows dreams can and do come true...you are such an inspirational person and I couldn't stop crying thru it wall...you and John also looked like newylyweds at the Wedding too...it was by far one of my best shows of yours, and yes you still got food in the episode, and what yummo it looked..I can't even say enough about this show, except how could u top it...you can't..God bless and give you all the best in life...

babygoosebutt
Rachael, I don't think there was a dry eye watching this wonderful thing that you have done for these couples. I had to walk away quite a few times because I was crying so hard! I can't immagine what would I would do if this happened to me. I am getting married on June 13th 2009, and if my wedding were ruined I would just die. Thank you so much for all of your heart and soul you have given to these couples!

Dear Racheal
I would go into the story of how this was a tearfull show like all viewers are saying.. you have heard it already.. Dear Rachael,
I just wanted you to know that i watched the show this morning about the Brides of Harris County--and through flooded eyes I watched as you 'single handedly' made dreams come true. Rachael, you have to know how many hearts you touched that day--YOU'RE AMAZING!!! I watched the show with my sister, and you have to know that we almost NEVER cry in front of one another. This morning was definately an exception as i saw how happy she(my sis) was for those brides and their families. I also related to the bride that had lost her mother to cancer and holds that Matina McBride song 'In Her Daughter's Eyes' close to her heart. My mother passed away having dedicated that same song to me on my 30th birthday. She was the most important, stable person in my life, and without her my life seems so empty. Thank the good lord in which he gave me two sets of twins that keep me busy. I became a memeber of your club just this afternoon after watching this show. I LOVED IT!! and can't get enough of your show. Bless your helpful heart! Thanx again--you're great
