The one on the back of Libby's solid pack pumpkin is fantastic and really easy been making it for 35 years and I always get raves over it, it is also online on Libby's website but I always just get the can and follow the recipe it's called Libby's famous pumpkin pie I beleive really easy too, and as deserts go pretty good for you.

One "improvement" I have made to that recipe is using the premade graham cracker crusts instead. They don't burn or anything and I like the consistency and flavor they have with the filling. I agree that the Libby's recipe is absolutely the best. I have even tried recipes calling for fresh pumpkin and somehow nothing is as good as Libby's.

I will say that I prefer the recipe on the cans of PUMPKIN, not the cans of seasoned pumpkin pie filling. Libby's has both and I prefer to add my own seasonings.

I agree Libby's recipe, adding you own spices, is the best and simplest way to make a great pie. I don't feel so bad going the easy way now that I see a lot of you do too!

I also get the solid pack pure pumpkin it's delish with your own spices, I have never tried the grahm cracker crust do you make your own or buy a premade one??? Bet that would be wonderful with that pie. It makes a huge pie so I am guessing that you must make your own, would love to try it.

No way, I buy two premade graham cracker crusts and make two pies so I can take one to my suegra's house for Thxg and one to eat at home! :)

Hi Cindymwinnick60,

You can try our recipe for Classic Pumpkin Pie, and just use any 9-inch pastry shell for the crust. It's definitely a holiday favorite!

Classic Pumpkin Pie

Cooking Time: Bake 40 to 50 minutes

Ingredients:
1/2 cup C&H Washed Raw Sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp. ginger, ground
2 eggs
1/2 cup corn syrup, dark
1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
1 can (12 oz.) milk, evaporated
1-1/4 cups pastry shell, 9-inch

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix sugar, salt, and spices in a bowl. Add eggs and beat slightly. Add remaining ingredients; blend well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Allow pie to cool a minimum of 2 hours before serving.

Serving Size: Makes 8 servings
