Stylish moms

So I am a 31 year old mom to a 9 year old and a 2 year old. Can I wear skinny jeans and UGGs? I would like to and I also gravitate to the juniors department and my 9 year old gets so embarassed. She tells me I can't wear the same things she is wearing. I'm also a teacher and want the kids to respect me outside of school. But I feel like a frumpy old farmers wife when we go out because i end up not buying anything new when I go shopping because i just don't know how I should be dressing. I just think I am at that funny stage where I am not in my 20's anymore and am having a hard time transitioning into a more mature look. I still want to be stylish. I don't even know where I should be shopping! I also live in the country, the nearest large shopping mall is an hour drive. I have a walmart and a Peebles. I do a lot of online shopping and browsing, but boy can you spend a lot in shipping if you are not careful, especially if the item doesn't fit or you don't like it once it is on because you have to pay to ship it back. Is there any hope for me? Please Help!!!! You are always so helpful on the show and you are one of my favorite "buddies" because you seem to really care.

Well lets face it, it doesn't matter what we were wear we're going to embarrass our kids on 1 level or another.(I'm a 38 yr mother of a 19, 17 and 15 yr old)
If you have a Target or possibly a Kohls try looking around there. They both have clothes by designers that or done for real people's budgets. Also try looking in magazines & possibly makeover segments on favorite tv shows for some ideas.
I think the important think is to buy what you like and what you feel comfortable in.
I hope this helps.
