The "Izzy"
Humans and doggies alike gobble up this sweet 'n salty treat.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons honey, room temperature
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter, room temperature
- 2 pieces of toasted whole wheat bread
Yields: 1 serving
Preparation
Once the bread is done toasting place them onto a flat work surface side by side. Spread peanut butter on both slices of bread. Layer the bacon on one of the slices of bread then drizzle the honey over it and close the sandwich. It's a "sammy" fit for an Izzy!
Place bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook until golden and crispy while waiting for the bread to toast.
