Spicy Peanut Thai Dipper

Use up the remnants in your peanut butter jar! Not only a dipper, this sauce is equally great over warm noodles for an Asian noodle salad. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped scallions.

Spicy Peanut Thai Dipper

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter, or whatever's left in the bottom of the jar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 2 tablespoons tamari sauce (dark soy sauce)
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Yields: about 1/2 cup


Preparation

Add water, tamari, lime juice, lime zest and red pepper flakes to the bottom of a peanut butter jar that has about 1/4 cup of peanut butter left in it.

Step

Shake it vigorously to combine all the ingredients thoroughly. Serve with egg rolls, chicken fingers or whatever you feel like dipping.
