Hey, Can You Cook?! 4 - Week 2
The competition is back and it's hotter than ever! After six amateur cooks set sail on the high seas with five of the toughest cooking challenges yet, two contestants were sent packing! Today, the four remaining contestants face off in a Mother's Day Brunch Battle, with three of TV's most famous moms joining in the judging: Marion Ross, Shirley Jones and Florence Henderson. Who will survive? Mother knows best!

Week 4 < Week 3 < Week 2 < Week 1
The Brunch Battle Donna, Penny, Tamar and Tim are back to battle it out! With Mother's Day around the corner, the first challenge tests the contestants' skills with three staples you would find at a brunch: eggs, melon and sausage. First, they must crack six eggs and successfully separate the whites from the yolks. After receiving the approval from Rachael's culinary staff, it's on to "Cantaloupe Preparation 101," where they must take one melon and peel it, seed it, and cut it into eight equal crescent wedges.
Finally, the last station requires the contestants to roll, form and arrange eight similarly sized sausage patties on a sheet pan. The first contestant to finish all three challenges wins an advantage going into the elimination round -- and at this stage of the competition, any little bit of luck can help!
"Cooking for Mom" After feverishly navigating through three brunch stations, the winner of the first challenge is ... Penny! She receives an advantage in the elimination challenge, which Rachael explains continues with the Mother's Day theme: the contestants must create a "BLD," a meal suitable for breakfast, lunch or dinner, since families celebrate Mother's Day at different times. They will have 30 minutes to cook and plate a balanced meal featuring a trio of ingredients. Penny gets to choose her trio and assign each contestant the remaining trios:
Penny: ham steaks, tomatoes and eggs
Tim: turkey bacon, eggs and yellow squash
Donna: smoked trout, baby potatoes and eggs
Tamar: liver sausage, spinach and eggs
The contestants need to prepare four servings of their meal: one for Rachael's culinary staff, and the rest for three of TV's most beloved moms -- Florence "Mrs. Brady" Henderson, Shirley "Mrs. Partridge" Jones, and Marion "Mrs. Cunningham" Ross! In addition to presentation, good taste, and pleasant smell, Florence has just one request of the meals they will be judging. "I'd like not to see too much blood!" she jokes, referring to a few mishaps during the cantaloupe cutting portion of the competition!
The Clock is Ticking! With only a few minutes left on the clock, Rachael checks in on the contestants as they put the finishing touches on their Mother's Day meals.
The Next Contestant Eliminated Is ... The TV moms have tasted all of the dishes, and now it's time for three of the contestants to take their seats at Rachael's table ... and for one to get packing!
