If you’re looking to refresh your home, but don’t have an interior designer in your budget, design expert Nicole Gibbons is here to show you three easy and chic projects you can do yourself!

No. 1: DIY Textured Wall

Nicole shows Rach how even a painting novice can create beautifully textured walls in their home. Nicole just paints one color onto a wall, then paints another color over the top. While the paint is still wet, you just drag a straw broom vertically to create thin, textured lines. Beautiful!

No. 2: DIY Bubble Wrap Painting

Once you paint your wall, you’ll need art to hang. Nicole shows Rach how to make a cool abstract painting using bubble wrap! Just paint the “bubbly” side of a piece of bubble wrap, then press paint-side-down onto a plain white canvas. The result – a super cool avant garde piece of art!

No. 3: DIY Message Painting

Let’s say you have a painting lying around the house that you don’t like. Nicole shows you how to affix letter stickers to it that spell out a message of your choosing, and then paint over in white. When you remove the stickers, you’ll see your message pop out in the background color of the original painting!

Which one of these projects are you most likely to try first? Tell us in the comments.
