Tangy, Sweet BBQ Gravy

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • Splash of pickle juice, optional
PREPARATION

Melt the butter in a saucepot over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the flour and cook 2-3 minutes, until light brown in color. Add the chicken stock, honey and BBQ sauce, and cook until the mixture becomes a thick gravy. If you like, add a splash of pickle juice to balance out the sweetness and add a bit of tang! Serve with chicken fingers.
