Ingredients

  • Fresh pumpkin seeds
  • Apple pie spice
  • Freeze-dried apple pieces, chopped
  • Currants
  • Dried and sweetened pineapple cubes
  • Chocolate chunks or chips
  • Sesame rice crisps
  • Teriyaki turkey jerky, chopped
  • Toasted hazelnut pieces
  • Smoked Marcona almonds
  • Leftover Halloween candy, chopped small

Preparation

Clean the pumpkin seeds thoroughly and soak in water overnight at room temperature. Drain into a colander and let dry slightly.
 
Toss the almost-dry seeds with apple pie spice. Toast the sliced seeds in a low oven (about 200°F) for a few hours until crispy and dry.

 
Toss toasted pumpkin seeds with remaining ingredients.
