Cereal milk is the secret ingredient to Food Network star Guy Fieri's over-the-top milkshake.

It’s delicious anytime—but especially with Guy's Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ Fried Chicken Sandwich.

The boozy version is for adults only, of course — skip if you're making these for kids!

Ingredients

For the Cereal Milk:
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup cinnamon-flavored cereal
  • 1 cup apple & cinnamon-flavored cereal
For the milkshakes:
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened
  • ¼ cup cinnamon-flavored cereal, plus more, crushed, for sprinkling
  • ¼ cup apple & cinnamon-flavored cereal, plus more, crushed, for sprinkling
  • 2 ounces cinnamon-flavored whiskey, optional
  • 2 ounces whipped cream vodka, optional
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Yield

Serves: 2

Preparation

For the cereal milk, in a mixing bowl, combine the milk and cereals. Place plastic wrap directly on the surface of the cereal and use a small plate to submerge the cereal in the milk. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Just before assembling the milkshake, using a fine-mesh strainer, strain the cereal milk, reserving the milk and discarding the cereal.

For the milkshake, in a milkshake spinner cup, combine the ice cream, cereal milk and both cereals, then blend until smooth. Add more milk if the shake is too thick, or more ice cream if the shake is too thin. If using, add the whiskey or vodka, and blend again.

Divide the shake between two 16-ounce glasses, then top with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed cereal. Serve with a straw.
