Ingredients

  • One 12-ounce bag fresh cranberries
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1 orange, zested

Yield

Serves: Makes 3 cups

Preparation

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, apple, sugar, orange liqueur, ½ cup water, the cinnamon and cloves and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until cranberries start to pop, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in zests and chill.
