Ice cubes made with fresh watermelon and the vibrant, citrus Italian liqueur Aperol make this refreshing drink from our Senior Culinary Producer Jeanette Donnarumma perfect for warm weather.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup seedless watermelon chunks
  • 1 cup Aperol
  • One 750-mL bottle prosecco, cava or sparkling wine
  • 6 thin orange slices

Yield

Serves: 6

Preparation

In a blender, blend watermelon and Aperol until completely blended. Pour watermelon-Aperol mixture into ice cube trays and freeze.

To serve, place 3-4 watermelon-Aperol ice cubes in a white wine glass and top with prosecco. Garnish with an orange slice.
