Noelle has always wanted to throw her husband Bo the biggest 40th birthday party ever. (They actually consider it his 10th birthday because he's a leap year baby!) Bo, a Sergeant First Class in the South Carolina National Guard, got notice that he'll be deploying to Afghanistan for 18 months -- forcing him to miss spending his 40th birthday with his family.
With Rachael's help, Noelle's throwing her husband an early birthday surprise party that he'll never forget. In order to get Bo to Rachael's show, Noelle tells him that she's bringing him to a random studio to film a company promotional video for his father-in-law. Pretty sneaky, Noelle!
Bo is overwhelmed by the surprise and by the presence of all his loved ones: "Where are they all staying?" he asks. The celebration continues with special gifts for Bo; Rachael gives him and Noelle two Mac books with iChat so that they can communicate while he's away. His sons present him with touching photos encased in frames with each of their handprints on the back. And what party would be complete without cake!
There's not a dry eye in the house when Edwin McCain sings one of Bo's favorite songs, "I'll Be."
Happy Birthday, Bo!
