The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business is the 18th season of the Emmy®-winning reality show, and host Phil Keoghan says the adventure is more thrilling than ever. But as he tells Rachael, the lightning-fast travel pace doesn't just involve the competitors. "People stop me and ask what I do when the teams are running around," he explains. "'Are you having a piña colada?' No, we are racing to stay ahead of the teams!

"We shoot the whole season in 23 days and there are 12 shows," Phil continues. "We're traveling 40,000 miles during that time, and if a team comes in at 12 o'clock noon, that means they leave at midnight, but sometimes the last team is still coming in while the first team has left on the next leg, so it's this constant thing for us of having to stay ahead of the teams."

Though the show enforces a strict "top secret" policy when it comes to the participants' whereabouts, Phil says that he gets a little bit of leniency. "I get to tell my wife and I get to tell my daughter," he smiles. "My daughter's 15 now, and when I first started doing the show she was only 5, and I didn't miss her as much - not because I didn't love her, it's just that the relationship was different. But now that she's 15, I'm thinking about her leaving home and it gets harder and harder to leave her. She's becoming an adult and the connection is so much tighter, so I definitely get on Skype wherever I can in the world to try to talk to her."
