While millions of viewers are glued to the performances on American Idol, the show's makeup artist is busy anticipating the commercial breaks when she has just a few hectic moments to touch up the judges. "It's craziness!" Mezhgan says. "Ryan [Seacrest] is with the producers going over what he's going to do next, Simon [Cowell] is running around on his cell phone and I'm trying to chase him down to powder him. He can't be bothered, but then again he needs to be powdered!"

Rachael asks Mezhgan what Simon is really like when the cameras stop rolling. "He loves attention, so one day I was taking Ryan's makeup off and I was using Evian spray water, just to spray his face and tissue it off and stuff, and Simon walks over and he's like, 'What are you doing? ... You don't use the Evian spray on my face,'" she recalls. "He pays attention to every little thing!"

When she's not helping the judges, Mezhgan coaches the contestants as they develop their style. Rachael challenges her to help out three viewers who beauty product virgins when it comes to lipstick, foundation and hair color. Check out their dramatic transformations!
