Bottom-of-the-Jar Beauty
Beauty and style expert Jenn Falik shows you how to stretch your makeup dollar by re-purposing all of those cosmetics that you were about to throw away!
Eye shadow into nail polish
Use a spoon to scrape out the last remaining bits of eye shadow from the container onto a plate. Pour a bit of clear nail polish onto the shavings and mix them together with a makeup brush. Increase or decrease the amount of shavings to control the lightness of your new nail polish color.
Mascara into eyeliner
If you're getting to the bottom of your mascara and there's not enough for the wand to reach, use a pointy Q-tip to get any last bits that you can use for another purpose: "Your favorite mascara has now become your favorite eyeliner!" Jenn says, noting that as a general rule you should replace your mascara entirely every three months because after that it starts to accumulate bacteria from your eyes.
Custom bronzing lotions
Scoop out any remaining bronzer from the container into a small glass dish. Add moisturizing lotion and stir to create a custom bronzing lotion.
