The last time Brooke Shields came by to hang with Rach she was in disguise as a "Mystery Taster," but now the beautiful actress has no secrets as she sits down at the kitchen table to talk about her new show, Lipstick Jungle.

"It's about three very powerful women, but three women who are really struggling with things that so many women can identity with and the problems are universal," says Brooke, who plays a studio executive with two children and an out-of-work husband. "The friendship among the women is also really important because we're not catty and we're not trying to steal each others' thunder. We're really supporting each other."

Lipstick Jungle was first a book written by Sex & the City author Candace Bushnell. It deals with its characters professional and private lives, and it's 10 p.m. time slot meant that Brooke and her co-stars had to prepare to show a bit of skin. "We thought, 'OK we need to start tanning, we need to start waxing things," Brooke jokes. "It makes it more racy and great and sort of expands our audience -- so to speak."

In light of the recent string of scandals involving young starlets, Rachael wants to know how the former child star emerged so gracefully. "We didn't have as much available to us, the money wasn't as much," Brooke says of her era. "I never became a statistic because I was lucky. I had parents who were very difficult. They kept me on the straight and narrow no matter what. If anything I was rendered more naive than anyone, they're much more precocious in this day."
