Chewing Gum Art
"I've been making gum art for about 20 years and chewing gum my whole life," says artist Jamie Marraccini. "It starts with a love for gum, and also never throwing things away! If you have those two traits, eventually you smear something on the wall and say, 'Hey I like it!'" Jamie enlists volunteers to help chew the gum so he can get enough materials for his works, but says not all sticks of minty refreshment will work. "You have to find the ones where the natural, artificial colors will shine through and look beautiful!"
