Despite being injured in a life-threatening accident that left her blind and missing part of her face, Chrissy Steltz beat the odds and did a few things no one expected her to achieve. "People thought I couldn’t fall in love, they thought I couldn’t have a baby, a family," she tells Rachael, "and here I am, proving everybody wrong!”

Rachael welcomes her to the studio and thanks her for sharing her story, while pointing out that when Chrissy was caught up in an accidental shooting at age 16, the teen had the same dreams as any young adult. Chrissy rebounded from her accident with a positive attitude that led her to meet the man of her dreams, Geoffrey, while attending a summer work program through the Commission for the Blind. They found a common bond in their disability, fell in love, got married and are now the proud parents of a baby boy! “When the shooting took place, I was in a much different state; I didn’t know if my life would turn out the way it did," Chrissy says. "Here I am, 11 years later, and my life has come full circle with a family!”

Rachael has a double surprise for Chrissy and Geoffrey and gives them a Voice Note technology system and an 8-day trip to Egypt through a company that specializes in tourism for those who are blind called Traveleyes.
