She’s an international star and top model, but Christie Brinkley tells Rachael “I was so nervous coming on your show; I think my eyelashes fell off!”

Christie’s not the only Rachael Ray fan in her family. She admits, “I went to school for the parent teacher conferences and the teacher says, ‘Christie your son was involved in an incident the other day. The boys were passing notes back and forth,’” she explains. “The note said, ‘So, what’s your favorite cooking show? Mine’s Rachael Ray.’”

He may have found his interest in cooking from Christie, who is a vegetarian. Perhaps she has passed along her passion for food to 12-year-old Jack. “I eat a lot of beans, I eat a lot of grains, love pastas,” she says. “I love to eat and I do enjoy cooking. My specialty is Thanksgiving and I even cook a turkey."

But holiday eating and parties can take a toll on anyone’s appearance. Christie, 53, shares her beauty tips to de-puff your eyes, add a sunny glow to your cheeks and touch up your roots. For details click on the video above or on the image gallery to the right.

Rachael chimes in to see what Christie is like when she's not on a photo shoot. She asks if she ever wears a sweatsuit to go to the supermarket. The blonde model says while she's pretty casual with her own style, she lives in New York's celebrity hangout, the Hamptons, where paparazzi photographers are always waiting to catch her in an awkward moment.

"Whenever we've seen you in the tabloids, you've always handled all that stuff with such grace and such poise," Rachael comments.

Christie says she shakes off the attention and is thankful for the career and life she still enjoys. "All I do is count my blessings."
