CSI:Miami's Emily Proctor
Emily Proctor tells Rachael how six seasons of CSI:Miami have turned her into a real action hero. "I can shoot about anything," she says. "I can shoot a compound bow, a spear gun -- I can shoot any firearm. And I can do the 50-yard dash in a pair of heels!"
Despite the show's serious tone, Emily explains that the off-camera atmosphere is a completely different story. "The thing that I'm most proud of about CSI:Miami is our relationships with each other. In season 2, Adam Rodriguez pulled what I think is simultaneously one of the funniest and the most horrible pranks I've ever seen anyone pull. He actually convinced one of the guys who worked on our show that he was his father. Who does that?"
Emily tells Rachael about Purina's ProPlan Rally to Rescue, a program aimed at promoting animal rescue and adoption across the country. "It's such a wonderful option for people," she says. "It brings so much into your home and into your heart." Emily knows firsthand about the joys of pet adoption -- she's been in love with Kevin, her now 19-pound cat, since she took him in when he was a kitten 15 years ago.
