It's a tale of two tastes: the Kurtti family thinks eating is an adventure. "I like calamari, fried shrimp, mahi mahi, oysters, clams -- all kinds of fish," says 17-year-old Amanda. On the other side of the palate is the Radcliffe family. "I like to eat anything that has bread in it," claims 13-year-old Colin. "I don't like the feeling of anything mushy." Rach poses a challenge to these two very different families: could a gourmet Kurtti survive a day in the Radcliffe kitchen? And how would the finicky Radcliffe kids react if they were served up something exotic at the Kurtti's house?
To inspire the families to eat together, Rachael sends them on a "Foods of New York" tour so they can sample the many different culinary experiences the city has to offer.
