She may have been reserved and dignified for her role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen, but Helen Mirren gets personal with Rachael. When Rachael asks how long Mirren has been married to director Taylor Hackford she catches this star a bit off guard. "Oh God I can't remember," Mirren admits. "We've been together since 1984, but I think we've been married for seven years. I can never remember!" Rachael tries to make her feel better and says that it's hard to keep track considering that type of longevity in marriage is equivalent to 1,000 years in "celebrity time!" What's her secret to a happy marriage? "Don't spend too much time together," she jokes. "But make sure you see them ... you really have to fight to schedule your life properly so you can spend time with them."

When they are at home, Mirren says her husband is willing to cook but the menu is limited. "He can only cook one dish ... spaghetti with tomato and basil," she explains. "And he does it beautifully." Mirren also enjoys cooking but like most people, she wishes it was a little easier to get groceries into her house. "I don't like shopping and I hate unpacking the shopping ... and you know putting it all in the fridge and then getting it all out of the fridge." Still, she credits Rachael with getting her to make more of her own meals. "I was very inspired, I have to say, by your cooking show," she says. "It made it accessible and I would sit there going, 'Of course I should cook, look how easy it is.'"

Rachael Gushes, "I can't believe Helen Mirren knows anything about me," and thanks the star for her support. She then turns the tables and praises Mirren for her work in films including her Oscar-winning role in The Queen. Mirren says she fell in love with the character of Queen Elizabeth II but decided to change things a bit and take on an action movie as her follow-up performance. She is now appearing alongside Nicholas Cage in National Treasure: Book of Secrets. where she can be seen clinging to a rope as she crosses a ditch. "It was the most fun day of my professional life," Mirren raves. "They call it flying when you're on wires. I've always wanted to do that to feel weightless and fly through the air."

And, if at any point she decides to leave acting behind, she knows exactly what she'd do. "I'd like to be a hairdresser. I love cutting hair," Mirren says. And she gives Rachael a bit of advice: "You'd be so cute with short hair." For Rachael that may be all the encouragement she needs to consider a new look -- she says "I'm going to do it because Helen Mirren said so!"
