Dinner Party Disasters
"I love having dinner parties and hanging out with friends, but I just can't pull it off sometimes!" says Lindsay. From overcooked pasta to a burned ham, she has had enough! "I could definitely use some pointers!" she says to Rach, who offers the 28-year-old two foolproof tips to simplify her next gathering.
• Main course cooking time: If you are serving turkey or ham, try making two small dishes instead of one big bird or piece of meat - they will cook more quickly so it's easier to manage.
• Simplify the party organization: Ask a friend to team up and share responsibilities so you don't get overwhelmed while serving. For example, they can prep cocktails and clear appetizers while you focus on the main course!
