Evette Rios has ideas for turning memories that are piling up in a box into display treasures!

"Everyone keeps greeting cards for a period of time at least," says Evette. This is a great idea for those cards or letters you don't want to throw away. Get a wooden fram from a craft store and cut up (or copy and cut up) portions of the card/letter to glue to the frame. Inside, put a photo of either the person who gave you the card or someone meaningful in your life.

"Cigar boxes make great memory boxes, and the best part is, you can store stuff in them," says Evette. You can get one (usually for free) from your local smoke shop. Cut out or copy a photo to paste on the front of the box, and you can either use the box to hold items in, or stand it up to display the photo!

"Think outside of the box," says Evette, "what collections can fit into other collections?" She stores her grandmothers old handkerchiefs and a button collection in old tins that she collects!

Kids love collections, and most have at least one they would like to display. Mason jars are perfect to hold collections in as they can be purchased in a variety of sizes from craft stores. To add a special touch, Evette suggests, "cut out a picture of your child and put it on the lid of the mason jar. It makes it fun and attributes the collection to the collector."

Purchase a two-photo picture frame and take the glass out of it. Then, pick out colorful fabrics and cover the frame's cardboard backing with it. This will give you a perfect display case for your earrings and pins. Added bonus: If the frame is small enough, you can close it up and travel with your jewelery intact.

If you have need a place to store your jewelry and don't have room to put it on display, then this is the ideal alternative for you. Find or buy colorful fabric belts, nail them to the back of a closet door, and hang earrings, pins and other jewelry in the fabric. Easy to see and easily accessible!

Can't bear to part with your child's baby clothes (or even those old concert tee shirts)? Campus quilts has a solution: Send all the baby clothes, shoes, toys, and tee shirts to them and they will custom make a quilt for you with all the items you send! It's a beautiful way to hold memories, and have them on display.
