Rachael Ray: Rachael's Daytime Talkshow

Double-Duty Fixes

Need to fix something quickly and don't have time to run to the hardware store? Watch the video above as Krista Cunningham proves that some of the best tools are those you already have around your house, and get more of her tips below!

• Macadamia nuts are delicious -- and useful! Kristan uses them to cover up those nasty scratches on wooden floors. Cut or bite an unsalted nut in half -- you want to get to the meat of the nut. Rub it over the scratched surface of the floor. The meat of the nut fills in the ridge and the oil fills in the scratch!

• Got scuffs on your chrome? Rub them with some crinkled-up aluminum foil to bring back the mirror-like finish!

• Like everyone else, Rachael and Kristan can't stand the sticky residue left over when they remove the price tags from glass frames. But with a little vodka and a tissue, this pesky residue is history. (Bonus: you can have a cocktail while you clean!)
