Wrapping Paper Storage
How can you keep a roll of wrapping paper from ripping and getting wrinkled in your closet? "I take plastic wrap and I wrap it around my wrapping paper," says Gina, in New Jersey. "Perfect, preserved wrapping paper for your next use."
Ribbon Dispenser
When Crystal in Illinois was looking for a way to organize her holiday ribbons, she came up with a new use for an ordinary home item. "I thought, 'I can put all my ribbon on the curtain rod and have a nice, neat area for it.'" Just line up ribbon rolls on the rod and pull the streamers down to cut colorful trim for your gifts.
Holiday Sandwiches
New York mom Lisa came up with a clever way to use holiday cookie cutters to get her picky eaters excited about meals. "I took some toy soldiers and snowflakes and I made some sandwiches for them," she says. "Now they actually ask for these sandwiches every day for lunch." This double-duty tip also works for cocktail parties -- just use them to shape cheese for a festive platter!
