The creator of Cougar Town has a simple strategy for finding the sitcom's snappy dialogue - listening to the show's stars! "My husband created the show," says Christa Miller, of Bill Lawrence, her spouse. "Courtney [Cox] and I are neighbors on the weekends ... If we’re talking, I know he’s kind of eavesdropping! He'll be talking to somebody, but he's really listening to what we're saying, and then he makes it funnier and exaggerates it!" While she doesn't always love hearing her own sarcasm in the show, she and her husband have discovered the secret to working together: "We have a really good set up that I’m the boss at home and he’s the boss at work."

She has another "boss" around the house - her youngest of three children, who she calls a bit more rebellious than her other kids. Still, she says they are all welcome to join her at work after school. "On our studio there's a million dogs, there's kids," Christa says. "Courtney and I have little bungalows so the kids can really come and play!"
