TV Legend Linda Evans
Linda Evans and Joan Collins made catfights a weekly ritual in the 1980s on the iconic show Dynasty. Rachael asks Linda if she ever took home battle scars from any of their scenes. "No," she answers proudly, attributing it to her earlier training on the television western, The Big Valley. "When it came time to do Dynasty, and they discussed we would do a fight, I said, 'I can do a fight! I'll tell you all the tricks that I've learned over the years.' I loved it!"
Linda relives more of those stories as host of the PBS special, Pioneers of TV, which traces the roots of classic shows from every genre. But this star's biggest hits are not just in the past; there are big-screen versions in the works for The Big Valley and Dynasty. "Yes!" Linda confirms, while offering a tidbit about the Dynasty flick. "I believe Alexis and Blake are going to give you a little past history. I'm curious, too!"
With so many popular roles throughout the years, Linda shares what surprises her most about her life: "I think the fact that I ended up having a career was astonishing - Dynasty was just the icing on the cake!"
