Starring on the hit sitcom, How I Met Your Mother, with its hilarious dating scenarios, is having a curious affect on cast member Josh Radnor's own social life. "I've learned what not to do, it's like cautionary tales week after week!" the single actor jokes. "Now I have hundreds of don'ts. I just don't know what to do!" He stars alongside Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segal and admits they don't always make it through their scenes without cracking up. "Everyone has their moments," he says. "The director is like, 'Guys? Professional acting? Can we do a little professional acting here?"

He worked with a different bunch of performers for his directorial debut in his new movie, HappyThankYouMorePlease. Josh also stars in it and plays a guy who has a chance encounter on the subway with a boy who gets separated from his family. "He ends up kind of taking the kid in, and a kind of friendship develops," Josh explains. "That kid was a joy to direct, his name is Michael Algieri and he was incredible, and by the end I felt like I was learning from him!"
