Forest Whitaker drops in straight from the Oscars® where he caught up with Sandra Bullock right before her Best Actress win for The Blind Side. "I was so happy for her!" he says. "I was backstage ... and I got a chance to congratulate her and hug her and talk. She's a great person!"

Now he is gearing up for two back-to-back weekend movie openings starting today with the comedy Our Family Wedding, in which Forest plays the father of a groom. "It's all about the kind of friction of trying to bring your two families together to have this wedding, about these two fathers who are overprotective of their kids," he explains. "It's a lot of laughs!"

The storyline gets more serious in his futuristic thriller Repo Men, which opens next week. Fans of the Oscar® winner can also look forward to his return to TV in the upcoming spin-off of CBS's hit Criminal Unit. With so much on his plate, the father of four says this new job will actually help him spend more time with his wife and kids. "What's great about it is getting to go home to my family," he says sweetly. "We're going to be shooting in Los Angeles!"
