We've all heard stories of overzealous brides who drive their bridesmaids crazy, frustrate the groom and push their wedding planners to the limit as they try to create the absolutely perfect wedding day ... but what if the guy is the one who obsesses over the invitations, dresses and cake? "A normal groom usually just makes a few decisions, but Steven is by far very different," says Catherine, who is getting married in eight months. Her fiancé does not dispute her claims. "I am a groomzilla with a capital G!" Steven proudly exclaims. "I think a groomzilla is a man who takes a proactive role in planning his wedding, a guy that really cares about the whole process."
But his bride sees things quite differently. "He is starting to drive me nuts," Catherine laments, recalling disagreements over centerpieces, China patterns and dresses. "Steven and I are getting into arguments about things that I never imagined we would argue about," she says. "There's eight months of planning [left]. I don't know if I can take it anymore!" Rachael asks Kelly Ripa's adorable husband Mark Consuelos to step in and help this couple avoid disaster. He welcomes the chance to pitch in, and offers the best piece of advice he has learned in his years with Kelly. "I've been married 13 years this May," Mark explains. "There are two words that you've got to learn: 'Yes, Honey!'"
Rachael asks Steven and Catherine if there are any major decisions left for their upcoming wedding and they point to the cake. "Dude, let her do the cake!" Mark pleads, and Steven embraces the compromise. "I love that idea!" says the groom to the delight of his bride, and Rachael thanks Mark for smoothing things over: "He did it! He's the resolver!"
