How to Look 10 Years Younger
Wish you could turn back time? Dr. Youn is giving us the scoop on five state-of-the-art techniques that help you look 10 years younger!
3-D Facelift: "We [used to] look at aging as 2-dimensional, where things just drooped, so what we would do as plastic surgeons would just lift it up. But what would happen is people would look tight, they looked pulled, they wouldn’t look natural," Dr. Youn says. "So the idea behind a 3-D facelift is to tighten up the skin, but also to add volume into the cheeks, under the eyes and, believe it or not, even in the lips."
The Vampire Facelift: "You actually draw a persons blood, you spin it down and you take out the actual platelets," Dr. Youn explains. "We take those platelets and growth factors and we can actually inject it into wrinkles in the face to help fill them out ... It costs anywhere from $850 to $1,200, and typically it's actually very well tolerated because it's your own tissues."
Triniti 3-in-1 Laser machine: This machine can be used non-surgically to target three of the hallmarks of aging: brown spots, loose skin and wrinkles.
Ultherapy non-invasive brow lift: "What the ultrasound is doing is actually affecting the deep skin in the fat," explains Dr. Youn, "it heats it up, tightening it up creating a lift."
Lip enhancements: "As women and men even get older our lips thin and a lot of people now are having lip injections, not to look strange or puffy like a duck, but too look just like they used to," Dr. Youn says. "What we’re using today is Prevelle and Prevelle Silk is one of the newer types of fillers and the great thing about this is of all fillers out there it has the least amount of swelling and downtime."
